Main Information

In consideration of the non-profit, Institute for Undergraduate Research making my thesis available to interested persons, I hereby grant a non-exclusive, for the full term of copyright protection, royalty free license to the Institute for Undergraduate Research:

(a) to reproduce, publish, archive, preserve, conserve, communicate to the public by telecommunication or on the Internet, loan, distribute and charge subscriptions for access to my work worldwide for commercial or noncommercial purposes, in microform, paper, electronic and/or any other formats;

(b) to authorize, sub-license, sub-contract or procure any of the acts mentioned in paragraph (a).

I retain copyright ownership and moral rights in my thesis, and may deal with the copyright in my thesis. I understand that I can assign or license my copyright in my thesis to other parties at any time I choose.

I undertake to submit my thesis to the Institute for Undergraduate Research. Any abstract submitted with the thesis will be considered to form part of the thesis.

I represent and promise that my thesis is my original work, does not infringe any rights of others, and that I have the right to make the grant conferred by this non-exclusive license.

I further promise to inform any person to whom I may hereafter assign or license my copyright in my thesis of the rights granted by me to the Institute for Undergraduate Research in this non-exclusive license.

Other Information

The website is funded through subscriptions paid by colleges and universities. The inclusion of microform, paper and other formats is included in case the Library of Congress asks for copies of the research in microform, as they do with master's and phd dissertations. As a non-profit, all of the revenue brought in through subscriptions goes towards maintaining the site and furthering undergraduate research.

Rules of Use

You agree that no materials of any kind submitted through your account will violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy or other personal or proprietary rights; or contain libelous, defamatory or otherwise unlawful material. Additionally, you agree not to use automated scripts to collect information from the web site or for any other purpose. You further agree that you may not use the web site in any unlawful manner or in any other manner that could damage, disable, overburden or impair the web site. In addition, you agree not to use the Web site to:

• Upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any content that we deem to be harmful, threatening, harassing, obscene or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent yourself or your affiliation with any person or entity
• Upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment
• Use or attempt to use another's account, service or system without authorization or create a false identity on this website

Journals

(a) to reproduce, publish, archive, preserve, conserve, communicate to the public by telecommunication or on the Internet, loan, distribute and charge subscriptions for access to work published in the journal worldwide for commercial or noncommercial purposes, in microform, paper, electronic and/or any other formats;

(b) to authorize, sub-license, sub-contract or procure any of the acts mentioned in paragraph (a).

The Journal retains copyright ownership and moral rights to the articles submitted, and may deal with the copyright to the articles. I understand that I can assign or license the copyright in the articles to other parties at any time I choose.
