| Summary | There is no "duty" to retreat in self-defense situations. The majority of states in the United States impose such a "duty." I submit, the duty to retreat should not exist. Of course, this is not advocating for lawless vigilantism. There must be limits. Still, there should exist no duty to retreat in your moment of deepest vulnerability. |
